Auburn: Abigail Ringwood set a school girls track record on Saturday at the second day of the NYSPHSAA championships in Middletown by placing third overall in the 2,000-meter steeplechase with a time of6:47.65.

In the 1,500-meter run, Kyleen Brady posted a new school record time of4:37.47 for 16th overall.On the first day of the finals on Friday, she recorded a9:58.81 for 14th in the 3,000-meter run.

For the boys on Friday, Austin Ferrin finished fifth overall in the 3,200-meter run with a8:58.39, while Owen Gasper placed 30th in the event with a 9:33.02. In the discus, Colton Hai took ninth with a distance of 157 feet, 2 inches.
On Saturday, the team ofNathaniel Bennett, Ryan Maher, Gasperand Ferrin earned sixth overall in the 4x800-meter relay with a time of 7:51.31. In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Maher came away in 17th with a time of9:44.94.
Cato-Meridian:Hunter Gillmore placed third overall in the Class C boys 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.23on Saturday at the state championships in Middletown.Maggie Brown earned 15th overall in the girls pentathlon with a 2,870.
Southern Cayuga: Isabel Rossbach concluded in 18th overall in the girlspentathlon on Saturday at thestate championships in Middletown with a total of 2,794. In the girls 400-meter hurdles, Charli Bennett concluded in 13th in Class C with a time of 1:11.25.
