Verizon has already made improvements to the network capacity around the current stadium for the upcoming season with the instillation of about 20 towers around the facility. It also is providing temporary Wi-Fi access points to the new stadium project site across the street on Abbott Road to help power the design, logistics and instillation at the facility.
Additionally, Verizon will provide a private wireless network that will connect the teams鈥 coaches, coordinators and play callers during the game in the new stadium, according to Jake Kornblatt, who leads the Verizon business sales team.
The addition of this technology around the stadium will allow for quicker data transmission. Essentially, that means being able to send photos and video on one鈥檚 cellphone in real time, instead of the content being stuck in the mud. Fans will also be able to more quickly connect to the internet.
The Bills will also integrate Verizon Business Solutions and services in the new stadium to make things such as paying for concessions easier.
