The senior delivered on the mound and at the plate as the Wolves took down Moravia 10-0 in five innings on April 9. Walters pitched a complete game, striking out six Blue Devils and allowing two hits and one walk. He supported his pitching effort by driving in three runs on two hits and scoring one run. The hurler is off to a strong start this season after sitting down 12 batters and pitching a shutout against Mount Markham in Union Springs’ season-opening 4-0 win on April 4. He’s also building off a junior campaign where he posted a 1.29 ERA in 49 innings and a 1.276 OPS in 48 at-bats. Walters and the Wolves will look to move to 4-0 on the season Monday when they host Newfield.Â

Hill helped the Maroons pick up a pair of home wins last week by totaling 5 points in each of the team’s victories. The sophomore netted two goals and dished out a trio of assists on Thursday in Auburn's 17-1 rout over Oswego. He then followed that performance up with four goals and one assist as the Maroons pulled out an 8-6 win over LaSalle Institute on Saturday. Five games into the season, Hill has tallied 11 goals and four assists. As a freshman, the midfielder totaled two goals and one assist. The Maroons return to action Saturday for an away matchup against Marcellus.Â

Taking the field as an Eagle for her third season, the sophomore scored her 100th career goal. She reached the milestone on Thursday with a four-goal outing in a 14-11 victory over Chittenango at home. Prior to the accomplishment, Brunelle recorded a hat trick on April 7 against Homer to pull her closer to the century mark. With Jordan-Elbridge sitting at 3-1, she has scored 20 goals and tallied six assists. Over Brunelle’s first two years as an Eagle, she totaled at least 40 goals and 14 assists in both seasons. She and Jordan-Elbridge are back on the field Monday when they travel to play Westhill.

Jump delivered a gem on the mound in her second start of the season, as the Panthers dominated Hannibal in five innings, 28-0. The junior hurler pitched a no-hitter, struck out 13 batters and walked one Warrior. Her 13 strikeouts tied a single-game career-high, which she set last season in Port Byron's 11-1 win over West Canada Valley in the first round of the Section III, Class C tournament. Through her four starts this year, she has posted a 2.49 ERA in 24 innings in the circle, while also working her way to six RBIs, six hits, four runs scored and a .429 average on offense. Jump and the Panthers hope to move to 5-0 on Thursday when they play Jordan-Elbridge at home.Â
Boys outdoor track and field: Jacob Endres, Moravia
The Blue Devil boys earned a 64-55 win over Southern Cayuga on April 7 behind a strong showing from the freshman. He took first place in the 110- and 400-meter hurdles with times of 22.96 and 1:31.16, respectively. Endres then helped the 4x800-medley relay team also consisting of Marcus Martin, Caden Cuddeback and Zack Wood to take the top spot in the event with a time of 12:06.95. He and the Blue Devils are back on the track on April 23 when they face off against Groton.Â
