Myles McBride led Auburn baseball on the mound Monday in a 3-0 win over Henninger on the road.
The junior struck out 16 and allowed three hits in 6.1 innings in the shutout victory. Offensively, he backed his own effort by driving in one run.Â
Caleb Pidlypchak ended with two RBIs. Jacob Adams posted two hits and two runs scored. Haiden Klop, Steven Ambroggio and Owen Casler each had one hit.
In 0.2 innings of relief, Grant Pinckney sat down a pair of batters.Â

Weedsport 8, Onondaga Central 3: The Wolverines scored six runs in the final two innings on Monday in a win on the road. Ryan Mickle and Kameron Buchanan each had two hits, one RBI and one run scored. Alexander Seward and Brandon Thomas tallied one RBI and one hit apiece. Nico Giacolone posted two walks and two runs scored. On the bump, Giacolone struck out four and allowed one earned run in three innings. In 1.2 innings of relief, Seward allowed three hits and sat down four batters.

Union Springs 9, Tioga 1: Jack Walters sat down nine hitters and did not allow a run in a complete game on Monday for a home win. He backed his own cause at the dish with two RBIs, two runs scored and one hit. Anthony DeAngelis tallied three hits, two RBIs and one run scored, while Asa Brown and Lucas had one RBI and one hit apiece. Shane Perkins picked up two hits, one RBI and one run scored. Johnson and Botindari had two walks apiece.Â
Moravia 11, Newark Valley 4: Six different Blue Devils drove in a run on Monday in their home win. Thomas Palmer, Eli Landis, Jairen Francis, Hunter Boynton, Carson Andrews and Noah Corbett tallied one RBI each. Boynton and Palmer added two runs scored and two hits apiece. On the bump, Francis struck out eight batters and allowed three earned runs in 3.67 innings. Andrews pitched 3.33 innings of relief, striking out six and allowing one hit.Â
Union Springs 5, Bishop Ludden 4: Scoring four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning on Saturday, the Wolves came away with a walk-off win at Wells College. DeAngelis led the way with two RBIs, one hit and one walk. Brown and Perkins each had two hits, one RBI, one run scored and one walk. Botindari posted one RBI, one run scored and one walk. Johnson scored a pair of runs. In 2.1 innings of relief, Botindari struck out two batters without allowing a hit or run.Â

Cayuga Community College 10, Jefferson Community College 2 (game one): Striking out eight in a complete game Sunday, Kyle Peryer propelled the Spartans to a road win. He allowed just one hit during his time on the bump. Jacob Laird led the offense with three RBIs, one hit, one walk and one run scored. Emilio Turco totaled two RBIs and one walk. Michael DeRosa, Owen Browne, Alejandro Diaz, Jeremy Recio and Luca D’Emilio each drove in one run. Jakson Ross and Recio had a pair of hits apiece.Â
Jefferson Community College 7, Cayuga Community College 6 (game two): The Spartans fell in walk-off fashion in the ninth inning on the road Sunday. Dolan, Browne and Ross each had one RBI. Dolan also picked up three walks, two runs scored and one hit, while Laird had three hits and one scored. In four innings of relief, Andrew Seward allowed one earned run and two hits.
Cayuga Community College 8, Jefferson Community College 2 (game one): Ashtyn Traugott-Knoll struck out seven batters and allowed one earned run in a complete game for the Spartans at home on Saturday. D’Emilio and Recio each drove in three runs and scored one run. Laird and Diaz each tallied one RBI. D’Emilio added three hits while DeRosa chipped in two hits, two runs scored and one hit. Ross racked up three runs scored, two walks and one hit.
Cayuga Community College 11, Jefferson Community College 1 (game two): Recio had three RBIs, two hits and one run scored on Saturday in the Spartans’ home doubleheader sweep. DeRosa contributed two RBIs, two hits and one run scored, while Ross concluded with two RBIs, two runs scored, one hit and one walk. Dolan ended with three hits, three runs scored and one RBI. Diaz and D’Emilio each had one RBI. On the bump, James MacLean allowed four hits and no earned runs in a five-inning complete game.
Boys golf
Southern Cayuga 169, Moravia 213: Posting a match-best 37 on Monday, Daniel Johnson led Southern Cayuga to a win at Wells College. Logan Nasholts ended with a score of 41. Landon Hauptfleisch and James Denman finished with scores of 43 and 48, respectively. The Blue Devils were led by Riley Jones with a 43. Jeff Gettel and Zach Szachta concluded with scores of 51 and 59, respectively. Matthew Dann had a 60.
Pulaski 222, Weedsport 220: The Wolverines suffered their first loss of the season on Monday in an away matchup. Braden Wood, Owen Jeffers, Andrew Powers and Alessandro Sorci each posted a score of 44. Samuel Lowery shot a 46.Â
Girls lacrosse
Jordan-Elbridge 13, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill 7: The Eagles outscored the Red Devils 8-4 in the second half on Saturday in their away win. Kelsey Brunelle paced the team in the victory with four goals, five assists and five draw controls. Briella Gilfus totaled four goals and one assist, while Stella Opanhoske ended with three goals and seven draw controls. Evelyn Bennett and Brenna Tubbert scored one goal apiece. Tubbert also added one assist. Defending the goal, Ellie Brim tallied three saves.Â
Softball
Southern Cayuga 25, Newfield 3: Ava Harvatine struck out 13 batters on Monday in her team's win on the road. Amelia Binns and Abigail White drove in four and two runs, respectively. Kyleigh Johnson had three hits and scored three times, while Bristol Hill scored four times and picked up two hits. Alana Hilliard also ended with a pair of hits.Â
Moravia 18, Newark Valley 10: The Blue Devils had two six-run innings on Monday in their home win. Emily Green racked up four RBIs, three hits and three runs scored. Taleigh Sheppard totaled three RBIs, two hits and one walk. Alexis Freier finished with three hits, three runs scored and two RBIs, while Lashley Heredia Castillo tallied three runs scored, two hits and two RBIs. Lily Heim, Davida Jackson and Emily Austin each drove in one run. In three innings of relief, Sheppard struck out four while not allowing a hit or run.
Union Springs 14, Tioga 1: Gracie Chalupnicki picked up a three-run home run and a double on Monday in a home win for the Wolves. On the mound, the junior allowed four hits and no earned runs in a five-inning complete game. Maddie Ward had three hits. Abbi Tracy, Paityn Delaney and Taylor Bergerstock tallied two hits each. Union Springs now sits at 11-0.Â
Boys tennis
Skaneateles 5, LaFayette 0: The Lakers did not lose a matchup on Monday in their home win. In singles action, Noah Soderberg, Asher Kozub and James Lovier each won their respective match in straight sets (6-0, 6-0). The duos of Jake Salzhauer and Peter Salzhauer, and Lucas Woodcock and Case Pavlus picked up doubles wins by winning both sets by a score of 6-0.Â
Outdoor track and field
Southern Cayuga (girls) 86, Groton 14; Southern Cayuga (boys) 51, Groton 48: Isabel Rossbach took first in four girls events on Monday in her team’s home win. The senior took the top spot in the 100-meter hurdles (17.50), 800-meter run (2:30.28), discus (73 feet) and long jump (15 feet, 6.75 inches). Charli Bennett finished first in the 200- (27.10) and 400-meter dash (28.00). In the 400-meter hurdles and the triple jump, Reagan Binns took the top spot with a time of 1:33.01 and distance of 29 feet, 9.50 inches. For the boys, Leif Gunderson placed first in the 100- and 200-meter dash with times of 11.20 and 23.30, respectively. Paul Hayden recorded a 2:08.41 for first in the 800-meter run, while David Hayden earned first in the 1,600-meter run with 5:12.99.Â
