State-ranked teams
- Union Springs baseball (seventh in Class C at 10-0):聽The Wolves have been dominant in the first half of the season, as they have scored an average of 10.4 runs per game while allowing just under one score. Union Springs has also made short work of the majority of its opponents, taking six of its wins in five innings.
- Union Springs softball (eighth in Class C at 12-0):聽Of their 12 wins this season, the Wolves have taken seven in five innings. They've outscored their opponents 181-18 so far, and defeated No. 16 Tioga on Monday, 14-1, in similarly short fashion. In Union Springs' past five matchups, it has surrendered just two runs.
- Port Byron softball (13th in Class C at 8-2):聽Like the Wolves, the Panthers' offense has been a force thus far. They are scoring 13.3 runs a game and plated 50 runs across their past three victories. Part of the reason for that offensive success is Port Byron's prowess on the basepaths. It's averaging 9.8 stolen bases a game, with Raelee McDowell leading the team with 31 this season.
- Skaneateles girls lacrosse (fourth in Class D at 8-1): The Lakers have won seven consecutive games since losing their season-opening matchup against Class A's No. 9 state-ranked West Genesee. Over Skaneateles' win streak, it has outscored its opponents 120-43. Its next matchup comes on Tuesday against Jordan-Elbridge on the road.
- Skaneateles boys lacrosse (12th in Class D at 7-2): After falling to state-ranked West Genesee and Watertown to begin the season, the Lakers have rebounded by also winning seven straight. During that stretch, Skaneateles has averaged 15.7 goals per game and allowed just 5.1 scores. It returns to the field Wednesday when it faces Jordan-Elbridge at home.聽

Scoring 11 runs a game over that stretch, their offense has supported a defense that has allowed more than one run in just one of those four victories.

They have lost five of their last seven matchups, surrendering an average of 14.6 scores in those losses. Auburn is back in action on Saturday when it hosts Jamesville-DeWitt.聽
