The Auburn Police Department is searching for a suspect in an assault that injured one person and led to a standoff for several hours early Sunday evening.
Auburn Police Chief Matthew Androsko told 水果派AV that a male sustained non-serious injuries in the assault, was taken to Auburn Community Hospital and was released as of 9 p.m.
The assault led police to secure the area surrounding a residence on Washington Street near West and Wall streets for several hours beginning at about 4 p.m.

Androsko said police received intel that the suspect was in the residence, but when the department's Emergency Response Team entered at about 8 p.m. it discovered that the suspect was not there.
As of noon Monday police were still actively looking for the suspect, Androsko continued. Further information about the suspect and the nature of the assault was not provided.
Androsko also said that there continues to be no danger to the public, as the assault was an isolated incident.聽

Along with its Emergency Response Team, the department utilized its negotiators, drone unit and Gun Involved Violence Elimination Unit, Androsko said.
The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office and New York State Police responded to the scene as well.
