The driver of a tractor-trailer was airlifted to a hospital after crashing off a road in the town of Fleming on Monday morning.
Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck told Ë®¹ûÅÉAV the vehicle crashed at around 11:15 a.m. on Route 34 near the intersection with Glanville Road. It was northbound when it veered off the west side of the road, entered a ditch and crashed into an embankment.

The driver of a tractor-trailer was severely injured Monday after driving off the road in the town of Fleming.
The driver sustained injuries to his head and torso, Schenck said. He was taken to Upstate University Hospital by a Mercy Flight helicopter.
The tractor-trailer was empty, Schenck added.
No further information was available as of 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Among those also responding to the accident were Auburn City Ambulance, the Auburn, Fleming, Owasco and Scipio fire departments, and the Cayuga County E-911 Center.
