Admission tickets and parking vouchers are on sale for the 2025 New York State Fair.

Tickets and parking
Tickets will cost $8 and parking vouchers are $12. (The final totals will be $8.32 and $12.41 after credit card processing fees and ticket fees are included.) The fair is also offering a frequent fairgoer pass for $25 ($25.70 after fees) for those who plan on attending several days of the fair.
Seniors ages 65 and older and children ages 12 and under will receive free admission to the fair.

There are three ways to buy tickets and parking vouchers. Fairgoers can purchase the admission tickets and parking passes online at or by calling Etix at 1-800-514-3849. The phone option is available from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets can be purchased electronically at the fair. Kiosks will be at every gate and large signs with QR codes will be available for fairgoers to use their phone to buy tickets.
There will be no cash sales at the fair's gates or parking lots. In the lots, drivers can use a credit card to buy a parking pass. E-ZPass Plus is not an option, according to the fair.
At the gates, there will be machines available that can convert cash into a usable card for fairgoers to buy tickets.
"We strongly encourage fairgoers to make their ticket and parking arrangements before arriving at the grounds," New York State Fair Director Julie LaFave said. "With close to 100,000 people in the vicinity of the fairgrounds daily, purchasing in advance helps to keep lines to a minimum and ensure fairgoers move through the gates as quickly as possible to experience all the fun that the fair has to offer!"
Midway tickets
Advance tickets for the midway will go on sale in the coming weeks, according to the state fair.
Wade Shows, which has operated the fair's midway since 2014, has been awarded another 10-year contract to provide concessions, games and rides.
Hours
The fair begins on Wednesday, Aug. 20, and runs through Labor Day, which is Monday, Sept. 1. The fair will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, but the gates will close at 9 p.m. On Labor Day, the fair's hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and gates will close at 8 p.m.
Parking lot hours vary, with the brown and pink lots opening at 6 a.m. The gray lot opens at 8:30 a.m. and the orange lot opens at 9 a.m. The Willis Avenue parking lot will open at 10 a.m., but only on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day.
The state fair trams will operate from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, with the exception of Labor Day when will stop running an hour earlier. There will be a shuttle for those with disabilities running between the gray lot, which provides accessible parking, to tram stop No. 3 near the Horticulture Building. The shuttle will run from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.聽
Entertainment
The fair has loads of entertainment options, including daily concerts at Chevy Court and Suburban Park.
The concerts at Chevy Court will begin at 1 and 6 p.m., with an extra show at 9 p.m. on Friday nights. Suburban Park concerts will be held at 8 p.m.
The Suburban Park lineup includes Nate Smith on opening night, the Steve Miller Band on Aug. 21, O.A.R. on Aug. 23, Busta Rhymes on Aug. 24, Lynyrd Skynyrd on Aug. 28 and +LIVE+ on Labor Day.
There will be a wide range of Chevy Court acts, from Blippi and KIDZ POP to Cheap Trick and En Vogue.

Centro
Centro, which provides bus service in central New York, will offer park-and-ride shuttles during the fair.
The park-and-ride locations will be Centro's hub in downtown Syracuse, Destiny USA in Syracuse and Long Branch Park in Geddes. The cost to ride the shuttle is $1 for adults and 50 cents for seniors, children ages 6 to 9 and individuals with disabilities.
The shuttles will transport fairgoers to the main gate.
