Sennett’s breakfast and brunch spot is offering specialty menus for the early lovebirds and nighthawks.

For brunch, sweet meets savory. Diners can enjoy red velvet pancakes or chocolate raspberry crepes versus lobster Benedict or a butter-slathered Connecticut-style lobster roll.

On the dinner menu, customers may swoon for the smoked gouda lobster mac and cheese or the honey garlic glazed salmon, among other options.

Sharing with a loved one is optional.

Baltimore Woods Nature Center

The Sweetheart Snowshoe, an annual Valentine's Day event in the woods of the Marcellus nature center, will return this year with a gourmet dinner to follow. 

First, couples will embark on a lantern-lit snowshoe excursion capped off by hot cocoa around a fire.

Then, a four-course meal prepared by chef Luke Szabo of Scratch Farmhouse Catering will feature an appetizer of chicken and mushroom steamed dumplings, sweet tahini dip and chili crunch.

That will be followed by one of several entrée options, including chicken ballotine, prawn mousseline-stuffed turbot, brisket osso bucco or veggie risotto.

Auburn Public Theater's cafe is serving up special Valentine's Day beverages, including a white chocolate raspberry latte with whipped cream and sprinkles.

Hann’s Homemade

The Tyre winery's Galentine's Night will return for its third year, this time in the new tasting room there. 

Highlights will include a sweet and savory charcuterie board, as well as a s'mores bar and tabletop fire pits for roasting the gooey treats.

Attendees can also expect specials on wine, cocktails or mocktails, and some gift shop items.

The meal will begin with a baguette with butter and dipping oil, followed by an appetizer like crab cakes or spinach and artichoke dip, and a salad.

After enjoying dishes like short rib ragu and shellfish risotto, customers can choose between a chocolate espresso trifle or chocolate raspberry cheesecake for dessert.

Couples will leave with a complimentary Polaroid, and women will receive a rose.

The punny fizz of the month is called I Love You Cherry Much. The flavor profile of the cherry-topped drink includes red cherry and vanilla.

The Owasco Lake inn and event venue will offer a family-friendly February Brunch Buffet the Sunday after the holiday. It will be free for children 4 and younger.

Scrambled eggs, fruit and sausage are among the familiar breakfast staples on the menu. For heartier options, there is French toast soufflé, seafood Newberg, chicken à la king and more.

The Sunset

Restaurant-turned-event-space The Sunset will set the mood lighting for couples this Valentine’s Day.

The three-course Sweetheart Dinner will begin with a salad and end with an unnamed special dessert. For the main course, customers can choose among the surf-and-turf lobster tail and tenderloin, chicken Parmesan over angel hair pasta, or chicken or shrimp scampi. Couples can also order dinners for takeout. 

All dinners will be served with a side of music from Bob Piorun and Bernie McNabb. A set by Ménage A Soul will begin at 8 p.m., with a $10 cover.

Cookies, buns and more baked items can be picked up as preorders or ordered on site, and beverages like matcha, lemonade, coffee drinks and more will be available.
