Keisha (Copes) Boothman
August 8, 1981 - June 22, 2025
Keisha (Copes) Boothman was born on August 8, 1981. She was called home to be with our Lord in Heaven on the morning of June 22, 2025, at the age of 43.
Keisha was born and raised in Auburn by Lorraine Copes and the late Chet Copes. She graduated from Auburn High School. After graduation, Keisha enrolled in cosmetology school to follow her passion for doing hair. She opened her own salon and recently was employed at Hairlooms. Keisha spent her life taking care of others, whether it be her family, friends or clients at her hair salon. Outside of her work, Keisha found happiness in spending time with her loved ones. Keisha was a treasured mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. She valued her family, and it showed through her resilience and sacrifices. She celebrated her children's accomplishments and was very proud of them. She enjoyed good food, visiting the beach, and enthusiastically watching Bravo shows such as The Real Housewives. Keisha was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was admired for her determination, courage and wit. She had a special way of filling the room with laughter that will be deeply missed. Her journey on this earth was one marked by strength, perseverance and unwavering love. Keisha's passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by her.
She is survived by husband, Sean Boothman; children, Nychele Crouch, Nia Boothman, and Sean Boothman; mother, Lorraine Copes; sisters, Shayna Copes, Cassandra (Cassie) Copes; and brother, Leonard C. Copes Jr.; grandmother, Frances DeRosa; nieces, Akira Strong, Summer McClurg; and nephews, Aaron Dotts, and Marcus McClurg. As well as a host of beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Keisha was predeceased by her father, Chet Copes; and grandparents, John Copes, Justine Copes, Arthur DeRosa.
Although Keisha's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy in all that we do. We ask that you remember Keisha for her giving nature, and the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest easy in eternal paradise.
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear. "
The family will receive friends at the Pettigrass Funeral Home 196 Genesee Street Auburn, on Friday June 27th from 5 to 7 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately after.
