Shameek Copes arrives for her arraignment May 27 on homicide charges in connection with the March 15 shooting death of John Wesley Smith III in front of Swifty's Tavern on Perrine Street in Auburn. Copes pleaded not guilty and was remanded to Cayuga County Jail without bail.
