Auburn's annual Holiday Parade, brought back after an initial cancelation due to safety concerns, took over the streets of downtown on Saturday for its 38th year.聽
This year's parade began at the earlier time of 3:30 p.m. and ended before sunset for better visibility and safer conditions. The tree lighting ceremony followed the parade, led by Mayor聽Jimmy Giannettino and Santa and Mrs. Claus. It was moved from its traditional spot at Memorial City Hall to State Street Plaza for the first time because the parade's route was changed.聽
