Roland L. Whitten, 70, Seneca Falls, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 30th after a brief illness at Geneva General Hospital.

Roland was the son of E. Jane (Conaty) Whitten and George Whitten. He had worked at Mc Quay, in Auburn for 20 years. Then retired from Walmart, Waterloo after three years. Roland enjoyed his retirement by watching westerns, playing cards, golfing, going to the casinos. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Roland is survived by his wife of 48 years Laurie; his two sons, Brian and Kevin of Seneca Falls. His two brothers, Terry (Kathy) Whitten, Elbridge and Richard Whitten, Las Vegas, NV. His two brothers in law, Jeff (Trish) Tyman, Liverpool, NY and Greg Tyman, Tupper Lake, NY. A sister in law. Rita, Whitten, MA. and many nieces, nephews.

Roland was pre-deceased by his two sisters, Rhoda Sherwood, Maurita Biek; his brothers, Dale, Charles, Carey, and Robert; his mother, E. Jane Whitten. The family would like to Thank all the staff at Geneva Hospital for taking such good care of Roland, and a thank you to Ontario-Yates Hospice for all the care and kindness they showed to Roland and his family.

As per Roland's wishes there will be no calling hours or services. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
