Weedsport baseball plated five runs in the sixth inning on Friday to take down visiting Port Byron 7-4.
Patrick Whitman led the Wolverines with two RBIs, two runs scored, one hit and one walk. Kameron Buchanan tallied two RBIs, one hit and one run scored.Â
Brandon Thomas totaled one RBI, one hit, one walk and one run scored, while Nathan Burtless had three walks and one run scored.
On the mound, Nico Giacolone collected five strikeouts and one earned run in a complete game.
For the Panthers, Nathan Usowski ended with two RBIs and two hits. Connor Usowski finished with two hits, one RBI and one run scored, while Dylan Howell posted one RBI and one hit.
Jacob Fronce allowed five earned runs and struck out a pair in five innings on the bump. In one inning of relief, Nathan Usowski struck out two and surrendered two earned runs.
