An Auburn Enlarged City School District administrator has left her position for one at another district in the area, leading to a restructuring of the Auburn district's leadership.
The district's board of education approved the resignation of Assistant Superintendent for Personnel Kelly Garback at its reorganization meeting on July 3. Her last day was July 11.
Garback left Auburn to become assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction at the Homer Central School District, whose board of education June 10.

The choice was not made lightly, she continued, adding that she has loved being a part of Auburn's team. She also said she was committed to "ensuring a smooth and effective transition."
"It has been an incredible honor to serve the Auburn community. I have truly valued the opportunity to learn, grow, and collaborate with such dedicated educators and staff," Garback said.
"My time here has been filled with meaningful experiences that have shaped me both professionally and personally."
Garback was hired for the personnel position in January after working in the district for several years.
She previously served as Auburn's director of early learning, and as principal of the Casey Park ²¹²Ô»åÌýHerman Avenue elementary schools.
In an email to Ë®¹ûÅÉAV, Auburn district Superintendent Dr. Misty Slavic told Ë®¹ûÅÉAV that former Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Amy Mahunik has been appointed deputy superintendent of personnel following Garback's departure. Mahunik's old position has been dissolved, and two current executive director roles have been restructured into executive director of elementary education and special programming, and executive director of secondary education and special programming. The posting for the two positions just ended, Slavic said, and interviews will follow.
"This restructuring allows for a dedicated focus on curriculum and instruction, with each executive director providing targeted leadership and support to advance instructional practices and improve student outcomes within their respective areas," she said.
The superintendent added that Garback will be missed at the district.
"Her enthusiasm and love for the district were contagious," Slavic said, "and she worked hard to ensure that all students and staff felt welcomed and a part of our Auburn family."
